The International Language & Business Centre (ILBC) was founded in 1995 to meet the need for a quality private school in the education sector. Since then, ILBC has played a pioneering role in the private education sector. Over the years, it gained the trust of parents and students, and has grown rapidly as a quality education service provider in Myanmar serving the educational needs of over 16,000 students in 36 campuses in nine major cities of the country.

ILBC offers Technology Integrated Learning (TIL), Preschool Remote Learning (PRL), and Technology Based Learning (TBL) programs. ILBC has always been a traditional school with manual paper-and-pen examinations. During 2020, the school implemented a solution for digital examinations. Two years later, ILBC is now a pioneering school leading digital transformation for Future Learning Assessment in Asia.

Which are ILBC's favorite features of Dugga?

  • Dugga offers many question types, with Essay, True/False, Right Place, and Order being the most popular. The Randomize Answer Options feature prevents students from sharing answers and cheating during exams.
  • The Lock- and De-anonymize feature allows examiners to assess essays and answers without knowing student names, ensuring impartiality. Scores can be downloaded quickly after de-anonymizing, saving teachers' time.

Has there been any change in your teachers' daily work after implementing Dugga?

  • Before Dugga, academic teams needed extensive time and meetings to prepare exams. Dugga has simplified daily work significantly at ILBC.

  • Parents and students were happy with digital assessments. Parents also learned alongside their children about using Dugga, according to Sanda Aye, Director of Teaching Staff Allocation at ILBC.

How are you planning to use Dugga onwards?

  • Dugga is currently used from Upper Primary to Secondary levels. Plans include expanding usage to Kindergarten through Primary 3 students to benefit younger learners.
  • ILBC also plans to integrate Dugga into everyday lessons for assignments, assessments, and tutorials, not just for examinations.
